Sindh govt decides to promote matric&inter students
The Sindh government has decided to promote the metric students and the intermediate students in the province on Thursday. This is the final decision taken by the provincial cabinet amid the coronavirus pandemic. The minister for education, Saeed Ghani said that the pandemic may last for a longer period , therefore, students of Sindh will be promoted without examination.
It is noteworthy that after the 18th amendment, education is the provincial subject which the provincial government can decide on its own without consultation with federal government.

The federal government has decided to promote the matriculation as well as intermediate students to promote them without taking their examination across Pakistan due to on going covid-19
In a major decision taken by the government of Pakistan, the enrolled ninth class, matric, first year and second year students will be promoted without their annual exam.
A decision was taken in the meeting National Coordination Committee (NCC) last week.
Imran Khan has decided to ease lock down from Saturday:
In its major decision, the committee under premier Imran Khan had decided to ease lock down in the country. It was maintained to say that the corona virus cases in Pakistan has not spread as it was expected and the severe lock down has caused hurdles for the poor and business community in Pakistan.
PM Imran said, “I was in favour of allowing public transport but the provinces did not agree to it. So, it has been decided that the provinces will make their own standard operating procedures (SOPs) and share with the Centre.”
The prime minister said that the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) headed by Planning Minister Asad Umar meets daily and analyses the current situation and take input from the provinces as well.
They consult with doctors and experts and then take the decision, said the premier.
Global survey about lock down
In a survey conducted in world’s developed countries including Canada, USA, UK, France, South Korea, Chin, Mexico, Germany and Japan suggests that the people of those country’s want their governments prioritize the health over economy.
The survey findings explain that the people around the world are of the view that the health is important therefore, prioritizing health is necessarily important.
According to Edelman Trust Barometer, which conducted survey explained that although the lock down has made people fatigue, but they want their respective governments to continue lock down as it is necessary for the lives.
Overall, 67% of the 13,200-plus people interviewed between April 15 and April 23 agreed with the statement: “The government’s highest priority should be saving as many lives as possible even if it means the economy will recover more slowly.”
