Predictions about COVID-19 and our ignorance to them
Nowadays, the whole world is facing a terrifying pandemic. The coronavirus (COVID-19) is affecting millions of people around the world and the death rate is increasing day by day. But the vaccine against this disease has not been discovered yet. People are facing lockdown and have isolated themselves in homes. The situation is alarming.
Some believe that it is a punishment for us from GOD because of our sins and they are asking for forgiveness.
Some believe that every 100 years, a disease hit the earth and takes millions of lives with it. In 1720 plague, 1820 cholera outbreak, 1920 Spanish Flu and now in 2020 Chinese coronavirus.
Here are some eye-opening predictions that predicted this epidemic disease before it targets the entire world.
The movie has become one of the most-watched films these days. This movie has shown a virus outbreak with similar symptoms that we are facing these days.
They showed the origin of this virus from china. A girl was on a business trip to Hong Kong. She ate a cooked pig there which was affected with the virus because the pig ate a half banana that a bat dropped from her mouth. So the bat was actually the carrier of the virus in that movie.
Later, that girl travels back to the USA where she dies of that virus. The symptoms of the virus were coughing and short of breathiness. In few days, the virus spread all over the world and takes several lives. They showed quarantine, self-isolation, lockdown, social distancing, and large piles of dead bodies, wrapping with plastic bags. They advise avoiding touching others, to excessive use of sanitizer, to wash your hands and to wear masks. These all situations are similar to our current situation.
At the end of the movie, a doctor discovered the vaccination against that disease. So we hope like the other similarities, May, we able to discover the vaccine against corona (COVID-19). Recently, the stars of the film Contagion have released public service announcements urging the public to social distance and wash their hands. “Wash your hands like your life depends on it,” says Winslet.
Years ago, billionaire Microsoft founder Bill Gates has warned us for this pandemic. In the TED conference 2015, Bill gates said, “If anything kills over 10 million people in the next few decades, it’s most likely to be a highly infectious virus, rather than a war.” Gates said during the Ted Talk. “Not missiles, but microbes.” The title of his TED talk was “The next outbreak? We’re not ready”. His video has gained popularity in recent weeks and widely shared these days on the internet. He warned us in 2015 that most of the countries are not ready to face an infectious pandemic. His video gave us the impact of COVID-19 around the world.
Two years later, he said the same thing at an event in Davos. “It’s pretty surprising how little preparedness there is for it,” Gates said in 2017. Over the past decade, on multiple occasions, the Microsoft co-founder has talked about the potential for something like the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) that has infected nearly 1 million worldwide and killed almost 20,000 people.
Did Bill Gates saw the COVID-19 outbreak coming?
Almost we are all familiar with the famous Simpsons cartoons. These cartoons as a reputation for predicting many events that actually has happened and we have seen them.
For example, the election of Donald Trump as the US President, Disney owning the 21st Century Fox, particular details about the ending of Game of Thrones, Smartwatches, Autocorrect, FIFA’s corruption scandal and World Cup results, Video chats, The U.S. wins gold in curling, Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl performance, Ebola outbreak, Three-eyed fish, Devastating 9/11 and many more.
Now, The Simpsons fans claim that the cartoon series predicted coronavirus (COVID-19) self-isolation in an episode in 1999 and the diagnosis of coronavirus in Tom Hanks.
Now, people think they have found another prediction in this series in the episode of season four “Marge in Chains”, which depicts a global pandemic. In which a Japanese factory worker cough into a package and then sent it to the USA, where the disease starts to spread.
However, it is important to mention that the coronavirus originated in Wuhan, China – more than 2000km away from the Japanese city of Osaka. Moreover, in this episode, a news reporter clearly announced the fear of “Osaka Flu”. People have made the memes on the internet by editing the actual word with coronavirus (COVID-19). So the people who are proving this episode as a prediction, they might be wrong.
Young Sheldon &TBBT:
People are mentioning that an old episode of the famous sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” might have predicted the existence of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
A clip from that episode is widely spread these days on the internet in which Sheldon was stopping a person from joining him during lunch because he was sneezing.
Then in another scene, Sheldon was at a hospital where in a room a patient with the infectious disease was being isolated. His friends who were visiting the patient was wearing a hazmat suit and full-body protection. When the Sheldon was about to go out, the paramedic stopped him from going because he “has been exposed to the virus.” He ends up in hospital anyway, under two-week quarantine. In the prequel series Young Sheldon, he excuses himself from class because he doesn’t “want to die” and, later, he is seen watching the news on TV, wearing a mask, while the newsreader discusses a virus that originated in China that is particularly contagious among old people and children.
