PCB Postpones semi finals and final matches of PSL-5 due to coronavirus

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has postponed the ongoing mega event of Pakistan Super League (PSL-5). The decision is the series of decisions taken by the government of Pakistan to contain the public engagement. The decision was taken in order to contain the spread of corona virus in Pakistan.
14 foreign players had left the country amidst the increase of the novel corona virus globally. In this regard, the remaining semi final and subsequent final match was scheduled to be held on March 18.

Previously, as per the schedule , today’s fixture was due in Gadafi Stadium, Lahore. Today’s as well next matches have been postponed indefinitely.
The final of the PSL was scheduled to be played on 18th March due to corona virus, which is now postponed until the corona virus spread is controlled.
Important events postponed
It is important to note that the mega sports events such as Indian Premier League, and entertainment events IIFA awards have been delayed as well.
Pakistan government has also asked the people to avoid any social and religious gathering to avoid any mishap regarding corona virus in Pakistan.
It is noteworthy that 270 cases of coronations have emerged in Pakistan and the majority of the cases have been reported from Sindh Province. This increase is due to the failed and flawed screening conducted by the federal government at Taftan border with Iran.
The government of Sindh has taken certain steps necessary to control the novel corona virus and it was the first government which decided to postpone matches held at Karachi stadium.
