First time in history Two Sindhi Brigadiers promoted to Major General post
First time in history, two Sindhi Brigadiers Brigadier, Javed Chandio and Brigadier Shabir Narejo have been promoted to the hghest rank of Pakistan Army as Major General.
In the recent promotions in the ranking of Pakistan Army, the two sindhi army-men promoted to the senior most post in the country’s army.
Major General Javed Chandio hails from Larkana Sindh, while major general Shabir Narejo belongs too Khairpur district of Sindh.
The father of major general Javed Chandio has already served as colonel in Pakistan Army.
First time in the history of Pakistan two Sindhi speaking officers have been promoted to the rank of Major General on their merit. This is a welcome gesture. Army is a national organisation and it should have due representation from all federating units. Fair representation at all levels for all segments of society will make this organisation truly a national entity.
Similarly all civilian organisations of Federal Govt (private or govt owned departments and corporations) should have fair representation at all tiers. Although Constitution has a provision for provincial representation but myopic federal bureaucracy has been flagrantly shrugging constitutional share of Sindh and Balochistan. Spirit of federation requires representation for all.
Pakistan Army has always strived for the best and it has given preference merit irrespective of nepotism or bisasness.
The local Sindhi TV channels and media men has also welcomed this move of Pakistan army. It is noteworthy that Pakistan Army is national institution that always strives for bringing peace and stability in Pakistan.
Last year seven Sindhi army-men were promoted to the rank of Brigadier.
