Female Police officer attacked for stopping Friday prayer congregation

A female police officer has been attacked in Karachi after she tried to stop Friday prayer congregation in Orangi Town Karachi.

According to initial reports, when a Friday prayer congregation started , female police officer tried to stop the congregation as ordered y Sindh government to avoid spread of corona virus in Sindh. people and mosque administration misbehaved the female police officer and riots increased in the town.

In the latest reports, police has identified  people involved  who broke the rule of law in the town and police has been  searching for them to arrest them.

Police  SHO , Razia Zuhra intervened the Friday congregation  in In Pir Abad Orangi Town Jama Masjid Haqqani,

Due to increasing spread of coronavirus in the Province, the Sindh government had ordered lock down and the Pakistan Ulema Council had also issued Fatwa to limit the Friday congregation in the Province.

 

Coronavirus updates in Pakistan 

Currently as of Friday noon, there are 4700 cases reported across Pakistan. 68 have died of the coronavirus since its outbreak in the country.

Provincially, there are 2280 cases are reported from Punjab, followed by Sindh which has 1214  cases as of  latest.  Moreover, there are 560 cases emerged in KPK, WHILE, Baluchistan has 219 cases of coronavirus.  Islamabad has reported 118 cases, while GB has 215 cases. Similarly, the cases in AJ&K have also increased to 33 thus far. Amidst the massive and exponential increase in cases, the government of Pakistan has suspended all local and international flights till April 21. Moreover, the government has also taken steps to ensure availability of  basic necessities for poor and needy people though cash transfers and ration availability.

Globally, there are more than 1.6 million cases have been reported. Among these, 94,720 deaths are reported. Among  all countries, Italy is the worst hit country by covid-19. Italy has 143,626 cases. And 18,279 deaths in Italy have been reported.  The covid-19 wave has capturing European countries  ore severely despite better health facilities and better state policies.  In America, the death toll rises to 15,000 thus far.
