Federal govt endorses CM Sindh, extends lock down till April 30
The federal government endorses chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and has agreed to extend the lock down across the country, said Asad Umar while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
The federal government will decide whether lock down should be imposed or not to contain corona virus in the country after coordination committee tomorrow on April 14.
Moreover, Asad Umar reiterated that the government will take all decisions with the consensus of all stakeholders,adding that, the employees working in the organisations is the responsibility of respective employer companies to ensure their health safety.
Asad Umar also added that if every thing is shut don, the government will have to pay massive, however, the decision will be taken by the National Command Center.
While addressing the press conference, SAPM Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the government has established 27 coronavirus testing laboratories in the country . he further said that currently we have capacity of testing 6 lac people which will be increased to 1 million till next week. He further said that currently 3000 suspected persons are being tested for corona virus on daily basis.
Latest Updates of Corona Virus in Pakistan:
There are currently, 5478 cases of coronavirus in Pakistan. Pakistan has witnessed total 95 deaths due to corona virus. A total of 2656 cases have been reported in Punjab, followed by Sindh which has 1452 cases. Balochistan has 231 cases, while there is exponential increase of corona virus cases in KPK which has reported 744 cases. Islamabad and GB has reported 131 and 224 cases respectively. While AJ&k has reported only 40 cases thus far. The United States of America has surmounted in coronavirus cases to Italy and USA has reported 560,433 cases and it has 22,115 deaths reported due to corona virus.
