Dr.Nafisa Shah visits Isolation ward at GIMS,appreciated administration

The central information secretary and member of national Assembly of Pakistan People’s Party on Tuesday visited Gambat Institute of Medical Science (GIMS), in district Khairpur to inquire about the health of suspected patients of corona virus and monitored the precautionary measures taken by the GIMS administration.
Dr. Nafisa Shah visited the quarantine centers where she was briefed by the hospital head Dr. Raheem Bux Bhatti, who is renowned surgeon and physician in Pakistan.

She visited the isolation wards established in the hospital. She lauded the dedication and selfless humanitarian efforts by the administration under the guidance of Dr Bhatti. Notably, she had also interacted with the first corona virus patient in Sindh , who came to Sindh through Taftan border with Iran.

While talking media she said that the cases pertaining to corona virus have been increasing and currently there are more than 100 cases in Sindh and the government of Sindh has been working selflessly to contain the virus in the province. She asked that prime minister Imran Khan must explain that why he was silent so long over the increasing reported cases of the novel corona virus.
Nafisa Shah initiates public awareness campaign to contain corona virus
Dr. Nafisa has always been seen on the front line for the public interests. Being a responsible parliamentarian, she has initiated a public awareness campaign against corona virus. The campaign led by her is unique in a sense that she is the first parliamentarian who has initiated public awareness campaign for precautions, against novel corona virus, among masses. In this regard, she has visited her constituency and vicinity and informed the people about the precautionary measures.
While addressing to media she said that the the funds received from world health agencies and donors are being utilized to fight against corona virus, adding that the Pakistani nationals living in other countries must be helped and cared of through our embassies in those countries.
Dr. Nafisa Shah said that the incumbent government of Pakistan Tahreek-i- Insaf led by Imran Khan has bitterly failed to screen out the people reaching at the airports and the borders.
Gambat Institute of Medical Science is fist in Pakistan which has successfully operated 100 free liver transplant operations. This initiative is one of the series projects which the Sindh government has successfully launched during its 10 years of good governance in Sindh.
