LARKANA: The activists of Aam Insan Party held large protest demonstration and observed token hunger strike at Jinnah Bagh Tuesday holding placards in their hands against bad practice of issuance of domicile certificates to people of other provinces due to which, what they termed, unemployment has increased to an alarming level in Sindh. AI Party’s Chairman Anwar Ali Domki, Sarfraz Buledi of Jeay Sindh Mahaz, Jeay Sindh Student Federation’s Ameer Hamza Buledi, Zeeshan Mustafa Jiskani, Nizamuddin Kharal, Ghulam Qadir Jatoi and others also participated in the protest and hunger strike. They demanded that deputy commissioners of other provinces posted in Sindh’s various districts should be removed from their posts without further loss of time as, according to them, they are involved in such massive malpractice which has rendered well educated young men jobless in their own province which is murder of basic rights. They further said that such robberies on the rights of Sindhi people will never be tolerated. They demanded of the rulers to immediately cancel all domiciles issued to residents of other provinces, or else, they warned, they will launch a huge struggle across Sindh against such highhandedness which has ruined the future of locals.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Larkana Muhammad Noman Siddique has declared through a handout circulated by Information Department on 23rd May that Larkana has online system of domicile issuance. He said it is linked with NADRA VeriSys and all CNICs are verified. Personal appearance of candidate is mandatory to get finger-prints and picture before issuing domicile, handout added. No domicile can be issued till CNIC is verified from NADRA system and software can’t proceed further without this, DC Noman added.

All academic certificates, Voter registration, UC Residence certificate and Affidavit duly attested by Oath Commissioner are also obtained, he said.

He further claimed that an internal inquiry has been conducted which has concluded that this news being circulated on social media is fake. Domicile from Larkana is approved and issued by ADC-1 who himself is Larkana domiciled. Anyone can come and check Larkana’s domicile record.

It was alleged on social media that over 700 fake domicile certificates have been issued to non-residents of Larkana who also managed fake documents and got jobs in the province in connivance with the relevant officers. Social media activists demanded thorough probe into the allegations to safeguard interests of the locals.

Prominent Journalist Mushtaq Sarki leads the campaign

Mushtaq Sarki is prominent journalist in Sindh who have been seen on forefront for the rights of people for peace and harmony in the province. Mushtaq Sarki has played his monumental role in Irshad Ranjhani case who was killed by an influential political person due to ethnic bias. Mushtaq Sarki with the help of his team made efforts and made Raheem Shah (the killer of Irshad Ranjhani) behnd the bars.

In the recent move, Mushtaq Sarki has said that the protest will be held on 2nd June against bogus domiciles in Sindh.
