students

There are 188 educational institutions in Pakistan which are recognized by the HEC. According to HEC report, these universities of Pakistan enrolled 3 million students. Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, PIEAS, Agha Khan University, NUST, LUMS, CIIT, University of Karachi, Punjab University, UAF and UET Lahore are the top universities of Asia. For college students, university life seems to be very fascinating. Because colleges are strict than universities, we can have a little bit more freedom there. But university life is not that much good as it seems, there are so many problems that students can face in regular days. For some students, University experiences and memories are rough. So, here we are discussing some problems of the students which they face during University life. And we are also providing you with solutions to these problems so that you can live your university life happily.

1. Transport:
There are no institutes for graduation in rural areas. The students who live in villages, they have to come to the main cities of Pakistan for higher studies. Their families are far away from them. This can be a tough time for the students; they also have to find a perfect hostel in low budget to live in, which is very difficult these days because the number of students who live in hostels is increasing day by day. We are lucky that we are in the era of technology, we can remain in contact with our families while we are in other cities, but when the vacation season is on students rush toward their homes, so they need transport and they have to bear these expenses. In daily routine students have to bear home/hostel to university and university to home/hostel transport expenses.

2. Social interaction:
You are lucky if you have your old buddies of school and college with you in university because for some people it is little difficult to interact with new people or maybe they hesitate while making new friends or maybe they have trust issues but interaction with classmates for group work and presentations are very necessary. In my point of view, you can’t survive without your friends because the fun part is associate with them.

3. Irregular sleeping pattern:
The trend of Social media networking is increasing day by day. Students are addicted to these sites. They spent most of their time on these sites like Facebook, Instagram etc. which cause lack of sleep. On the other hand, the pressure of assignments, term papers and due dates cause lack of sleep. Some students claim that they can work better at night which is very unhealthy

4. Presentation:
Presentation is something that is new in the university. You have to present in front of your classmates and the professor. Maybe some students have a lack of confidence or shyness this is why they cannot present properly. So before you got admission in university you should start practising for your communication skills.

5. Financial problems:
University life is different from college life. In college, we just have to buy books for studies but in university, we always have to buy and print notes for each lecture which cost so much. Plus in university, you have to submit your assignments on a daily basis and for this purpose, the whole printing and binding process cost so much. Those students who live in hostels also have to submit their hostel dues which create financial problems.

6. Relationships:
Most of the universities have co-education system. First, we interact with them, then we became friends and at the end, the relationship starts! These relationship kinds of thing may divert your attention from your study. And if these relationships don’t work out I mean break up can lead you to the depression

7. Outing:
The outing is not that bad, in fact, it’s a great gesture because your brain needs break from study. Your body needs fresh air but excessiveness of everything is bad. You should do outing or partying but in limits. Excess of outing and partying may draw your attention from your study plus you may face financial issues.

8. Career decision making:
Many students took too much pressure about their career. What they are going to do in their future? How they will make money? How they can be a successful person?
In my point of view, you don’t have to worry so much about your career in university life, your focus should be only on gaining knowledge and learning skills. You should choose your major what you like the most. In which subject do you have interest? It will ease your decision making.

9. Depression:
According to research, 43% of students reported anxiety and 19% reported as depression patients. These days depression is getting so common in students. The reason must be a failure to accomplishing their goals or maybe a failure in their relationships. If you are having symptoms of depression, must consult a psychiatrist. Never even thought of ending your life because youth is our future and these problems are temporary.

10. Side jobs
When you step into the university your expenses may increase. If you are a hostel person, you have to pay hostel dues plus university fee. Then printing, binding expenses and your outing expenses. Collectively university cost you much and all students are not from a rich background. So to survive in this environment many students do their side jobs. Many of them do night shifts so that they can be able to attend morning classes of university. These kinds of side jobs cause lack of sleeping and health sickness.

University is not that bad. You just have to be moderate in everything because “Excessiveness of everything is bad”. You just learn how to manage your time for doing all the tasks you are responsible for. You should do outing, it is healthy for your body but please stay in limits. The main purpose of this article is just to make your life more peaceful.
